Police Find the Unthinkable as a 5-Year-Old Passes on CT’s Shoreline
The unimaginable happened this past Thursday (May 3) when Waterford police found a 5-year-old unresponsive in the rear seat of the family vehicle.
According to Fox61, police were called about a missing child at 3 Maple Ave., and 20 minutes later, the 5-year-old was found unresponsive in the back seat and pronounced dead. Waterford Police Chief Brett Mahoney commented:
The unexpected passing of anyone is tragic but the death of a child in our close knit community can be very difficult.
Being a dad three times over, I cannot even imagine the heartache and misery this 5-year-old's family is going through. Waterford police are investigating the death of the little boy, whose name will not be released due to the nature of the incident. Meanwhile, parents including myself ask themselves why? How could something as unimaginable as this tragedy ever happen?
