Police: Danbury Man Arrested for Having Child Pornography
A Danbury man has been arrested on child pornography charges following an investigation that began nine months ago.
According to a press release from Detective Lieutenant Williams of the Danbury Police Department, 49-year-old, Steven Randi of 63 Clearview Avenue, turned himself in without incident this past Thursday (May 17) once he found out that there had been a warrant issued for his arrest.
Police say that on August 9, 2017, the DPD received a tip that accused Steven Randi of being in possession of child pornography. The aforementioned warrant was issued after the Danbury PD's Special Victims Unit ran an investigation as a result of the claims.
Randi has been processed and released after posting the court-set $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Thursday, May 2.
