What's this new deli all about? It's all about sandwiches like the Bronx Bomber and the Yankee Special. Yes, they're avid Yankee fans.

Dennis Marrero and Tiffany England moved up this way a couple of months ago from NYC and opened up the Lake View Deli and Luncheonette right across the street from Danbury Town Park on Hayestown Ave. This specific location has been the home to a handful of different shops from pizza to delis, but all have gone out of business.

Marrero told the News Times that he travels down and back from NYC constantly because of other business dealings, so everything sold at Lake View is brought up fresh from the city -- like fresh sausage from Arthur Avenue and Teresa's Italian Ice. That's just one of the differences between Lakeview and their predecessors in that location.

It's obvious that Lake View's customers absolutely love the deli according to their Facebook page:

  • It's clean, well-stocked, and most of all, the staff understands what it means to be a neighborhood business.
  • Great deli! Staff was friendly and outdoor seating was really nice!
  • OMG!! Love this place!! Food is great!"

Punch in 45 Hayestown Road, Danbury into your GPS, because it's worth the drive. They're open from 6 am 'till 6 pm seven days a week. To call in your order, the number is 203-456-6925. From all of us here at I-95, we wish you great success
