New Milford's popular Halloween bash, Trunk-or-Treat, will go on as planned this Halloween, October 31, from 5:30 to 7:30PM, but will feature a change in the format according to the Newstimes.

Instead of walking up to decorated vehicles on New Milford's Main Street to receive candy, residents will drive up to decorated vehicles at the John Pettibone Community Center on Pickett District Road, where candy will be tossed into your trunk. This is a drive-thru only event, and both trunks and participants MUST register.

The Town of New Milford is seeking residents interested in decorating their vehicles and dressing up for this drive-thru Trunk-or-Treat event. If you're interested in taking part, sign-up is available online by clicking THIS LINK. Please read the instructions carefully before you decide to participate—only one registration per vehicle. Participants are being asked to remain in their vehicles.

This year's customized Trunk-or-Treat event is being coordinated by New Milford Parks & Recreation to ensure the event adheres to social distancing requirements due to the pandemic.
