New Milford Welcomes a New Coffeehouse to Bank Street
New Milford proudly adds a new coffeehouse to its' historic downtown character.
The folks who brought you the popular Alpenhaus Restaurant anticipated the need left by the closing of the Bank Street Coffeehouse by opening their own cafe-style coffeehouse called Java Haus.
Alpenhaus owners, Manuela Durre Young and Jeff Yenter completely remodeled the restaurant's upstairs dining room into a community friendly coffeehouse that offers pastries, lattes, cappuccino, frappes, and good old-fashioned coffee.
Java Haus also offers up a breakfast and lunch menu that features breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, and pastries. The lunch menu features tasty signature sandwiches like the Bubbe, the Brie Bird, and the Oompah.
You'll find Java Haus upstairs at the Alpenhaus Restaurant at 59 Bank Street where they serve up authentic German cuisine.
