New Milford Celebrates Town Pride with GOAT Days This Weekend
Back in my home State of Kansas, in the southeast corner at the radio station I worked for, each and every year we did live broadcasts from the county fair. It was a week-long event for the station and I would be there every day for my entire show. The biggest memory I have from those broadcasts was that it was always hot, Mordor hot, that gross kind of hot. Mix that with the residual effects of huge animals relieving themselves wafting from the horse and cow barns and you could be in for a long, sweaty, odorous day.
That was the bad part of the fair, the best and most popular attraction that made all that you had to endure worth it, was, without a doubt, the so-called "Baby Barnyard." Indeed, and just as the name would imply, it was filled with animal babies - or, pups, calves, cubs, hatchlings, kittens, chicks, piglets, farrows, colts, foals, ducklings, squabs, goslings, kids, billies, leverets, and one time there was even a fawn and a giraffe calf. Everyone loves a good cute baby and there will be a lot of cuteness going on at New Milford's Greatest-Of-All-Towns Days this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday, over 40 New Milford businesses, farms, and nonprofit organizations will be a part of the event. It will be a look into all things New Milford, so if you’re looking for something to do and don’t mind a bunch of cute stuff going on all around you, then this is the place. The whole thing will be happening from 10 to 5 each day at 6 Young’s Field Road in New Milford. Totally cool stuff like handmade soaps, scented candles, crafts, jewelry, the New Milford Lions Train, and we can’t forget the stars of the show, goats.
Here is a list of not-for-profits that are a part of this year's event:

If you get hungry celebrating New Milford Goat Days, there will be food, there is always food, always!
I love the term/acronym "GOAT", the Greatest Of All Time and it sounds like a fantastic event this weekend in New Milford.
