Northeast’s First Margaritaville Resort Hotel Being Built in New York
Parrot Heads, beach lovers, Jimmy Buffet fans, and party people, it's time to rejoice. More fun times will soon be just a quick drive away from Connecticut.
If you've ever been to a Jimmy Buffet concert you already know that the living, breathing party that exists outside the show for hours before the main attraction gets underway is kind of a destination of it's own. Just in case you've missed out, here's two announcements you need to know about.
First, a new musical opened March 15th on Broadway, bringing the whole musical vibe and Parrot Head experience to the Big Apple. I'm talking about the Jimmy Buffet musical Escape to Margaritaville happening at the Marquis Theatre, 210 West 46th Street in New York City.
Second, the "it's 5 o'clock somewhere" vibe pretty much screams New York City night life 24/7. Soon you'll be able to immerse yourself in that vibe, and sleep it off if need be just a few steps away.
In an announcement from margaritaville.com ,the first Margaritaville Resort Hotel in the Northeast is coming to Times Square. Jimmy Buffet is planning to open what is expected to be a 29 story building with 234 guest rooms. Also featured will be a rooftop pool, Margaritaville Restaurant, LandShark Bar & Grill, 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar, retail space and more.
There are currently eight Margaritaville Resort Hotels open, five more coming soon, and then the New York City location is due to open late in 2020. I'm totally looking forward to a little bit of laid back style smack dab in the middle of the city that never sleeps.
