Passenger Intentionally Leaps Out of a Car on I-84 in Danbury

Why did a man intentionally jump out of a moving vehicle on I-84?

Just before 10 am on Friday, August 3, it appeared that a man jumped out of the back seat of a Kia Sorrento on I-84 between exits 6 and 7. According to the NewsTimes, one lane of I-84 had to be shut down.

The man appeared to be in his 40's and police have not been able to pinpoint why the man bolted from the car. The driver of the Sorrento had to quickly swerve to avoid hitting the victim and crashed into a jersey barrier but was not injured.

When emergency crews arrived on the scene they found the jumper laying in the road with serious injuries but was still conscious. No other injuries were reported and the man's name has not been released.
