Now that more and more people have already had the COVID-19 vaccine, there is no longer a need for the mass clinic at the Danbury Fair Mall.

It's not that the pandemic is officially over, but with the steady drop in cases in the area and less and less people being infected, the state's Community Health Center has decided to stop the mass vaccination site in Danbury at the Mall as of June 30.

The mall location has been the site of thousands and thousands of vaccines since it first started its operation in early March. Other vaccination sites operated by the Community Health Center in Middletown, Stamford, and East Hartford will also stop administering the vaccine on that same day, June 30.

According to, the vaccine will continue to be offered for those who need to get vaccinated in Danbury at it's 8 Delay Street location. Hours for that clinic are Monday through Friday from 8:50 AM until 4:10 PM. To be able to get the vaccine you can visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Vaccine Administration Management System online to make your appointment, or you can call 877-918-2224, or just dial 211. You can also do a walk in to get your vaccine, but without an appointment you may have to wait for those who already have scheduled their vaccine time.

According to the State Department of Public Health, a little under 50 percent of the city of Danbury's population has already been completely vaccinated.
