Justin Bieber called out Tom Cruise on Sunday, challenging him to a fight. Bieber tweeted "I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to a fight in the octagon. Tom if you don’t take this fight your [sic] scared and you will never live it down.”

Someone in the fight game thinks this is a great idea, namely Conor McGregor. Conor jumped all over it and had this to add, "If Tom Cruise is man enough to accept this challenge, McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout. Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies? Stay tuned to find out!”

Unfortunately, these things never end up happening, but this is a fight I'd love to see. You have two guys I dislike very much. The idea of watching these two punch each other's faces into oblivion makes me so happy. But all the same, it will never happen. There is no reason for Cruise to accept the fight. -- He's busy. Super busy being crazy. If it were to happen, how would it play out? I could see this bout going either way.

On one hand, Bieber is in top shape -- I don't know why I know this but I know he trains with fighters. He is young, he's dumb and both of those are positives when we are talking about fighting. On the flip side, Tom Cruise is crazy (in case I had not mentioned that earlier) and is 50+ years old, meaning he has what I refer to as "old man strength." When guys pass 50 years of age, they have five decades of carrying stuff under their belt and plenty of reasons to be angry. Be careful what you wish for, Justin.

I'll have to take Cruise. You know how, "sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don't?" Well Almond Joy has nuts and so does Tom Cruise. Just look at the Care Bear stare that Cruise gave to Lauer back in the day:

If you want to choke Matt Lauer to death on a TV set over Ritalin, you are insane. "Crazy insane or insane crazy? When I say Hussein, you say shady."

Here are some other celebrity fights I'd love to see:

  • Danny Devito vs. Peter Dinklage
  • Steve Buschemi vs. Quentin Tarantino
  • Alec/Daniel Baldwin vs. William/Stephen Baldwin
