New Connecticut Officer Ready to Bust Crooks and Melt Hearts
This is Rio. Rio is a two-year-old German short-haired pointer with a badge. Rio was just introduced as the newest member of the New Milford Police Department. The department made the announcement in a April 19th, 2024 Facebook post that reads:
"The New Milford Police Department is proud to introduce K9-Rio. “Rio” is a two year old German Short Haired Pointer (GSP) who has been partnered with K9 Officer Marcello Lima. K9 Rio is a certified Narcotics Detection Dog. Officer Lima and K9 Rio have just completed a Narcotics Detection School provided by Master Dog Trainer and Retired New Milford Police Lieutenant William Scribner. Rio is a high energy fun loving dog who will not only sniff out drugs but continue to build on our relationship with the community at public events. Rio is trained to sniff out Heroin, Cocaine, and Methaphatamine. The NMPD is committed to sniffing out and arresting those who would attempt to sell illegal drugs in town. Stay tuned for updates on public events where you can meet K9 Rio. Congratulations to K9 Ofc. Lima and K9 Rio, wishing them a healthy and successful career."
Bustin crooks and melting hears, Godspeed Rio, Godspeed.

PREDICTION: If Officer Lima is not already in a relationship, he will be inside of 6 months. Dude has a uniform and a cute dog? That is a deadly combination on them single streets.
