Ice Cube’s Big3 Coming to Connecticut
If you're a fan of basketball, we just got some good news. If you'd like to see live professional basketball here in Connecticut, get ready to buy some tickets. It was announced last night that the Big3 will play in Hartford's XL Center Saturday July 25
If you're not familiar with Big3, it's a 3-on-3 player, half-court, professional basketball league, which was founded by mogul/entertainer Ice Cube. This upcoming 2020 season will be the league's fourth overall. Big3 teams consist mostly of former NBA players and international stars. There are 12 teams in the league, and the teams are nomads, they call no particular city home. All of the Big3 games are played in different arenas around the country.
Hartford's XL Center scored hosting duties this time around. The XL Center is a legendary hoops building. It's the home court for the UCONN Huskies, they've hosted the NCAA Tournament numerous times, and the Boston Celtics over the years too.
There's no word so far as to when the tickets will be on sale, but this is a great addition to sports-starved Connecticut's schedule.
