Happy 8th Birthday to My Son, Louis

These are two of my boys. Chris on the left and Louis on the right. Louis turned 8 on Monday. I took this picture yesterday. His little brother fell asleep, and in typical fashion, Louis looked after him by leaning in so his brother could sleep on him.

That is my kid. I cannot believe he is 8-years-old already. I could not be more proud of him. He has been through a lot for a little man. His mom and I split some years ago, and he remembers everything. I think it was really hard on him. Whatever damage that did to him emotionally, I will forever be sorry for, and he has handled it like a champ.

Louis looks after his two little brothers, and he is thoughtful, kind and bright. He is a straight-A student, he has a great sense of humor, and he respects him mom and stepmom. I thank God for this child everyday, and the joy he has brought to my life. I pray, daily, that he has a happy, healthy and productive future. As long as there is air in my lungs, I will protect and love him.

Happy birthday Louis Santino. Daddy loves you with all his heart.
