When the News-Times dropped this little bomb on Monday (4/14/25), I laughed... and then I laughed so hard I cried.

So apparently, according to the News-Times, Guster is playing a super exclusive Ridgefield Town Party in May. The catch? It's only for Ridgefield residents and business owners (yeah, we’ll unpack that later). But for now, let’s stay focused.

Look, attaching deep meaning to stuff like this isn’t for everyone—but for me? Oh, it’s definitely my thing. And honestly? This is PEAK Ridgefield. Of course, Guster is the band they picked. It’s just so... perfectly on-brand.

Now, does that mean I’m throwing shade at Guster? Nope. Not even a little. I’m actually a full-blown, card-carrying fan. Not long ago, I was breaking my neck trying to book them on the I-95 Morning Show. So, this isn’t a Guster roast. It’s just—they’re one of those bands that vibes with Ridgefield energy.

Which got me thinking... what bands would we match up with the rest of Greater Danbury? I took a stab at it. Check out my list and let me know what you think.

Greater-Danbury: Your Town is What Famous Band?

When the News-Times dropped that Guster is headlining Ridgefield’s exclusive, residents-only Town Party in May, I laughed… and then laughed even harder. It’s the most Ridgefield thing ever. Guster is Ridgefield. No shade—I’m a fan, tried to book them myself not long ago. It just fits.
And that got me thinking… if Ridgefield is Guster, what bands best match the rest of Greater Danbury? I gave it a shot—check out the list and tell me if I nailed it or missed by a mile.

This is my favorite game. I toyed with some other options. Initially, New Milford was giving me some strong 3 Days Grace energy. I say that with a smirk on my face, but this is a grey area for me. You know why it's funny, but they're also the number one band in my lifetime workout songs playlist. New Fairfield could have been England Dan and John Ford Coley as suggested by my morning show partner and New Fairfield resident Ethan Carey.

We talked about this on the Monday (4/21/25) edition of the I-95 Morning Show

If the Greater-Danbury Area Towns Were Christmas Movies

When this topic came up in our office, my ears perked right up. The question was simple “If Greater Danbury Towns Were Christmas movies, which would they be and why? It’s so simple and yet so complex, it made no sense and gave me a topic to argue with my friends. I was so excited about it, I wrote them down, and this is the list:
