Greater Danbury Featured Prominently in Really Bad Driving Web Series
I love the Greater Danbury area. I have a particular love affair with the Hat City, but sometimes you gotta call it like you see it.

The driving experience in the Greater Danbury area is beyond bad, it's extremely dangerous. I talk about this on the I-95 Morning Show all the time, but even I'm sick of hearing me say it, so here is someone else pointing it out.
I'm a huge fan of the Youtube page "Really Bad Driving in Connecticut." The person who runs the account takes footage from their dashcam and turns it into a highlight reel, sort of the best of the worst. They just dropped Volume #50 on June 13, and the Greater Danbury area doesn't come away looking great.
At 2:15 into the video, you have people running red lights, then again at 2:23.
Then at 2:44 you have a Danbury classic, the last second highway lane change.
At the 2:55 mark, we see another late exit.
Stretching the definition of Greater Danbury, this is a classic high speed maneuver from Southbury at the 3:14 mark.
Right around the 6:39 mark, New Milford gets in on the act with multiple lane changes.
At the 6:53 mark, it's another New Milford MAN-ooover. If that guy doesn't have a green arrow, he's really laying it on the line.
Later, you'll see a nice bundle of Bethel. But without further adieu, here is "Really Bad Driving in Connecticut" Volume 50.
By no means am I perfect and I'm sure the guy who puts this together isn't either, but we can't fix what we don't acknowledge. It's time to say it's really dangerous on the Greater Danbury streets.
P.S. My biggest issue is where I live, the Downtown Danbury area. Main Street and the surrounding blocks are boffo crazy. I've seen people running red lights, double parking in the slow lane and I even saw a guy drive on the sidewalk. That's just another Tuesday in the Hat City.
