Bust 1: Drug Arrest After Suspicious Traffic Stop in Southeast

Early on March 26, deputies pulled over a car on Danbury Road with an expired inspection sticker. The driver and passenger reportedly acted nervous, and their stories didn’t match up, so deputies searched the vehicle and allegedly found drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl, and Suboxone.

The driver, Michael Mastrantone, 39, from Monticello, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and forgery, authorities say. His passenger, 42-year-old Matthew Recabo, also from Monticello, was allegedly found with drugs and charged with possession with intent to sell. Both were taken to jail.

Bust 2: Man Arrested After Cracked Windshield Leads to Drug Find in Mahopac

On March 26, deputies stopped a car in Mahopac because its windshield was cracked. The driver, Louis Cerbone, 52, from Poughkeepsie, was reportedly driving with a suspended license and allegedly had drugs, including Oxycodone and crack cocaine, in the car. Cerbone was arrested and charged with drug possession and a few traffic violations, authorities say. He was arraigned and released to appear in court later.

That's a burn, you let a cracked windshield bring you down? There should be an (alleged) drug dealer school. I could teach it, and lesson #1 would be to have your vehicle in order.

You have to have your wheels in good legal standing, nothing broken, and all lights operating correctly or you're asking for trouble. I'd also advise purchasing the most popular car on the road, with the most popular color, and make sure you do nothing to customize it. Having truck nuts, No Fear stickers and a modified loud exhaust is stupid if you're a mule bro!

P.S. Attention Dutchess and Sullivan Counties, keep your crack, fentanyl and oxy in your yard please.
