Do You Have Enough Respect for This Office to Put Aside Your Personal Feelings?

Donald J. Trump is your President elect. This is, in no way the first time in American history that the country was divided on who should be President. It is the most divided that I have seen it in my lifetime.

So, my question to you is simple, is this one different? Can you respect the results and support the President elect going forward? Is this something you cannot accept? If it is unacceptable to you, what will you do about it?

From my life experience, I believe that Americans are decent people. I believe despite people's morals or political affiliations that we end up united in our belief and hope for this country.

This one feels different. I am worried, still hopeful but worried for all of us. Can we set aside the things we have said and done to each other over the last year? That remains to be seen.

Can you rise above gloating if your guy won? Can you rise above complaining about losing? Can we move on from the insults?

I have three children and one on the way. I would like to believe that Americans can unite under our symbols, our history, the love for our country and our faith in each other. If we cannot, no matter who our leader is then we are in BIG trouble.
