CT State Police Warn to Watch Out for Fake Stimulus Checks
If you've been waiting for your federal stimulus check, be on the lookout for lowlifes trying to scam you.
This is just what you need during these challenging times, disgusting human beings trying to rip you off. Approximately 5 million Federal Stimulus Checks are being mailed out each week which gives criminals plenty of opportunities to swindle unsuspecting members of the community.
Thankfully the Connecticut State Police, via their Facebook page, has issued guidelines about how to tell if your check is legitimate. The website fiscal.treasury.gov clearly illustrates what to look for if you believe the check might be a ripoff.
An easy identifier on the check appears on the right side of the Statue of Liberty. It needs to read, "Economic Impact Payment. President Donald J. Trump." To verify your check, click on tcva.fiscal.treasury.gov/
