Connecticut Infant Severely Injured By Her Parents, Police Say

Hurting a child in anyway is the definition of unthinkable. Prayers for this infant from Connecticut.

This story will shock you, sadden you, and take your breath away. Prayers to this poor baby girl barely in this world, only to be barely hanging on to life.

According to nbcconnecticut.com a 6-week-old baby suffered what has been described as non-survivable injuries allegedly at the hands of her parents. Police have arrested the couple, 23-year-old Edwin Babilonia and 20-year-old Ashley Perez.

Hartford police were called to investigate after the baby girl arrived at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center on Thursday afternoon. The story goes on to report that the infant is a twin. The other baby has been evaluated and the state Department of Children and Families has taken custody of that child.

Babilonia and Perez have been charged with risk of injury to a minor and cruelty to persons. Police say they are both being held on five - hundred thousand dollars bond.
