Connecticut Donut Icon’s Second Location Opening Soon

With all of the closures of local businesses due to the Coronavirus, it's really nice to write about a positive happening. I wrote an article before the pandemic, back in February, when Wallingford's Neil's Donut & Bake Shop announced that they were going to expand to a second location. The new location was announced as being at 211 South Main Street in Middletown. It's been a long 5 months since the announcement, but Neil's once again took to their Facebook page yesterday with an exciting announcement -

The donuts on the lower left of the above photo are Neil's Key Lime Pie Donuts, and they're my favorite. Neil's new Middletown location is on the lookout for a full time third shift Baker, with 1 year experience preferred, but they are willing to train the right person. They also stress that there are requirements for this job, which include being able to: work with dough and fryers, side-by-side in a fast-paced work environment with other people, while being punctual, physically strong, and clean.
