For the most part, according to the Newstimes, flooding in Danbury was minor, except for the two cars that got stuck under a railway bridge over West St. near Benedict Ave. This past Saturday, the Danbury Fire Department, along with medical first responders were called to the scene to help the handful of trapped vehicles. Still, those vehicles were able to maneuver themselves out of the water. Check out the flooding situation on White Street.

Danbury Police were also called to the scene to handle traffic control under the bridge. According to the ctpost.com, the National Weather Service had issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for northern Fairfield County on Wednesday, July 9. The area of West Street and Benedict Avenue, where the flooding occurred, runs near a sharp bend in the Still River.
