Connecticut Brewery Takes a Spin on a Favorite Childhood Snack
Nostalgia really hits different sometimes.
When you're in your adult life and you see something from childhood, it really takes you back to that feeling of when you were younger. It's my favorite thing when I see something come back from childhood or something in adulthood get recreated from something when we were kids.
It's also so much fun when they bring back something that was discontinued. Remember when Dunkaroos came back? Everyone went crazy for them and just trying to find them. I believe we as humans will always ride the nostalgia wave. We will take anything we can from childhood and remember it like the "good ole days".

I came across something on my feed that was pretty interesting. Alvarium Beer Co. is a brewery out of New Britain. I've never been before, but after checking out their website, it looks like a really cool place to go and hangout. They were "founded on the principle of revitalizing a historical city by creating an inclusive, ultra-communal taproom where the vibe is 'come as you are' and everyone can unite under the flag of 'righteous craft beer'."
Back to what got me here. They posted that they were coming out with a specific new beer that completely caught my eye. They were coming out with a 6.9% PB & J porter that is the "adult version of your favorite childhood snack." I don't know about you, but I loved uncrustables. To see something like this brings back so much nostalgia and makes me want to try the beer instantly. You can check out the original post here.
What a great idea. Taking a favorite childhood snack and bringing it to life in an adult way. I know it's just a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, but uncrustables will always taste better than your typical PB&J and I have no doubt this will too.
If you head over there and try it out, let me know. I would love to know if they perfected the taste.
