Car, Cash, Credit Cards Stolen From Woodbury, Police Search for Suspect
State Troopers are looking to the public for help in identifying the person (pictured above) suspected of stealing a car, cash, and credit cards from two people in Woodbury, CT.
According to a press release from the Connecticut State Police, officers responded to a phone call about a purse that was spotted on Scuppo Road in Woodbury, CT at around 6:15 AM on Thursday (May 24). The purse has apparently come from a vehicle registered to an address somewhere along Scuppo Road not far from where it was found. Police quickly identified the victim, who claimed that she had cash and credit cards taken from her car. It so happens that her card was then reported to have been used at a store in Thomaston.
While investigating that particular incident, police say they were dispatched to the report of a stolen 2017 Subaru Outback at a completely separate address along Scuppo Road at about 7:35 AM on Thursday morning. Numerous credit cards were also reportedly stolen along with the car.
Police say that the Subaru was located in Bristol and processed for evidence.
Anyone with information about these related thefts, or information about the person pictured above, is asked to call Officer DeFeo of the Woodbury Resident Troopers Office at 203-263-3400 or the Connecticut State Police Troop "L" at 860-626-7971.
