Damn Greenwich, do you have to keep flaunting your superior showbiz connections and keep topping your past lineup every year?

While the rest of Connecticut's small towns and municipalities scrape together food trucks, face painters, and a fireworks display for their municipal events, the Greenwich Town Party has performers that truly make you say ohhhh...wow. Here's some of their previous performers: Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Carlos Santana, Paul Simon, Dave Matthews, James Taylor, Hall & Oates, Buddy Guy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Fogerty, Steely Dan, and Alabama Shakes, to name just a few. Whew.

This year? Billy F'ing Joel. Billy Joel will be the headliner at the 2022 Greenwich Town Party, which is taking place during Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday May 28, 2022, at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park - 100 Arch Street. Joining Captain Jack of Montauk in the 2022 lineup will be Old Crow Medicine Show, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Robert Randolph Band. At least 7 other supporting acts will also be appearing during the event.

Tickets? There's a secret password. It's "I'm a Greenwich resident, where can I enter the lottery?" The answer is that the lottery was 6 months ago, and the tickets that they had held aside for residents and those who work in Greenwich are long gone. I'm sure if you threw $25,000 to become a sponsor of the event, they would find a pair of tickets with sick parking for you though. Otherwise, you might catch a snippet of Movin' Out if you get off of I-95 Northbound at Exit 3 that evening. Who are you working on for next year Greenwich? Did Adele move into Belle Haven?
