
Bristol Nightclub Operators Arrested, Charged With Human Trafficking/Prostitution
The Connecticut State Police and Bristol Police Department have just announced the arrest of 2 men following an investigation into complaints of alleged prostitution at a local nightclub in Bristol.
According to cspnews.org and the Bristol Police Department, during the month of January 2024, the Bristol Police Department received numerous complaints about a business in town, Aqua After Dark, located at 1235 Farmington Avenue in Bristol, was running an alleged prostitution operation. A 10 month investigation by members of the Bristol Police Department Narcotics Enforcement Team, and the Connecticut State Police Statewide Organized Crime Investigative Task Force determined that two individuals controlled Aqua After Dark, and they've been identified as Vincent Whiteley, 64, and David Henderson, 63.
Both men were taken into custody yesterday, 10/9/24, at 1PM. Whiteley has been arrested and charged with Conspiracy at Trafficking in Persons, and Conspiracy at Promoting Prostitution 2nd Degree. Henderson has been arrested and charged with Conspiracy at Trafficking in Persons, Conspiracy at Promoting Prostitution 2nd Degree, Permitting Prostitution, and Trafficking in Persons. Both were held at the Bristol Police Department on court-ordered $250,000 Cash Surety Bonds.
Aqua After Dark is/was located in the Hobby Lobby/Edge Fitness/Big Lots shopping plaza at 1235 Farmington Avenue. The statement from the Bristol Police Department goes on to reiterate the Department's determination to combat illegal prostitution operations in the city, and encourages the public to contact them with any information regarding this situation.
