I am a self proclaimed expert on Mother's Day! Why can I make such a bold statement? Over the past 38 years I have earned a PHD in what I call....."Mastering the Fine Art of Compromise!" This area of study is not for everyone and I'll tell you why. Not only does it involve years of practice but it requires a willing and equal partner for this concept to succeed. So how does this relate to Mother's Day?

From time to time, I've joked that in my house, "everyday is Mother's Day!" I do a good portion of the cleaning, washing dishes, the laundry, and the cooking during the week. Why do I willingly take on these chores? If you ask Lou, he'll tell you it's because my wife beats me.....Incorrect! I simply enjoy making my wife happy. Mindy has a somewhat stressful job during the day and she works a part time job that also keeps her on the phone during some evenings. No, it's not a sex line you perverts! My job, playing on the radio, not extremely stressful except when Lou goes into full blown teenage obnoxious mode!

Oh yeah, Mother's Day. If you and your wife consistently communicate and are tuned into each other, laugh together, and respect each other, Mother's Day becomes much easier, because you're already tuned in on how to please your wife on her special day. Think "personalize." It works every time.
