On the Friday (7/26/24) edition of the I-95 Morning Show we were talking about dangerous and annoying left turns in the Greater-Danbury area. Once the conversation really got rolling we realized we could do this for hours.

The truth is, the list you are about to read is incomplete. I am going to have to do this list in parts because there are so many options to choose from. You also need to consider that the list is Danbury-heavy because that is where I live and do most of my driving.

Please feel free to reach out and suggest more dangerous left-turns by shooting me a text to the I-95 Rock Mobile app which is free to download at Google Play and the App Store.

7 of The Most Annoying Left Turns In Greater-Danbury

Driving in Connecticut can feel like a nightmare some days and it can be made even scarier when you have to make a left. These are SOME (7) of the most annoying and dangerous left turns in the Greater Danbury area.

Here's my question, why can't people just make a right and then take the first opportunity to turn themselves around at the next parking lot or driveway? I do this almost every time I find myself at a dangerous left turn and I'm the world's most impatient person.

Instead, people like my wife (who I love), inches her way out into traffic counting on the generosity and attention of mankind to get her through. I've told her this is a huge mistake but no one listens to me. If you want to live to see the next party, just make the right and call it a day.

On the Thursday (08-01-24) edition of the I-95 Morning Show we spoke to Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves. I was explaining my issue with the 5th Avenue/White Street turn and he roasted me good.

Below you can hear everything else had to say about these dangerous left turns on the I-95 Morning Show

The program is the same one we do on the radio but with limited commercials and no music. You can also listen live by streaming the show on the I-95 Rock Mobile app, or tune into I-95 (95.1FM).

7 of the Best Places to Get Delicious Nachos in the Greater Danbury Area

In my opinion, nachos are the height of indulgence. If you want comfort food, nachos always deliver. I've been thinking about them all week and I know where I get mine (Pippa's - Danbury) but we've heard my opinions plenty so we asked the listeners of the Ethan and Lou Show what they thought. These are some of answers we got texted to us on the I-95 Rock Mobile app chat feature.

In 1970, Two Men Robbed a Danbury Bank + Blew Up the Police Station

The story of the Pardue brothers, their connection to Danbury and what happened in the Hat City in February of 1970 came to us from Mike Allen. Every Tuesday Mike joins the Ethan and Lou Show on I-95 for a feature called "The Place You Live" and this week it was a local story unlike any I'd ever heard.

John Pardue was a 27-year-old man in 1970 who lived in Danbury, his brother James was 23, and living in Lusby, MD. Before the story finds its way to the Hat City, and the brothers rob the Union Savings Bank on Main Street, they had already racked up quite the list of astonishing crimes.

Prior to Danbury, they robbed banks in Lewisboro, NY, Georgetown, CT and Union, MO. They also killed their father, their grandmother, two other men who helped them pull off the robbery in Georgetown, CT and had, at minimum, a role in the death of an innocent Bridgeport man that they stole a car from. John and James Pardue were hardened criminals before their Danbury bank robbery.
