New Fairfield is chompin' at the bit in anticipation of a new Froggy's Deli coming to town. I say new because there are three other locations in New York State including Brewster, Pawling and Somers -- all family-owned and operated.

New Fairfield will be Froggy's fourth location, which I found out about on the New Fairfield/Sherman Facebook page. So far, there have been 145 comments, with most of them voicing their excitement about a new business with a stellar reputation opening up in town.

New Fairfield has had a fabulous deli in town for years inside the family-owned New Fairfield Food Center. Is there enough room in a small town of 14,000 for two excellent delis? I'd bet my "CT Italian Combo Grinder" that there is.

Froggy's is owned and operated by three brothers who opened their first location in 2011. Their Brewster location also includes a pizzeria next door. Just like Johnny's Deli at the New Fairfield Food Center, Froggy's is also a place where everybody knows your name.

On their Facebook page, the brothers state they will be trying some new things and ideas at their new New Fairfield location, located at 9 Brush Hill Road (Route 39). Don't worry people, Froggy's two most popular sandwiches, The Tusker and The Lawsuit, along with the rest of their unique menu items will be on New Fairfield's menu as well. Check out their complete menu at froggys.revelup.com. The New Fairfield Froggy's is due to open in late spring or early summer.
