You Can Rent a Private Island Right Here in Connecticut

The word 'vacation' and the year 2020 just don't really go together. Unless you're doing a day trip somewhere (safely and socially distanced, of course), I don't see many overall vacations happening (obviously). I've been getting the travel itch lately, and hopefully soon, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel to where we can travel safely and vacations can be a thing again. I think everyone deserves one after this year.

That got me thinking, what is a really cool vacation, but still something I can do right here in the state of Connecticut? Oh, I don't know, how about rent your own private island? That's a real thing, and that makes me super excited.

Right here in Connecticut, East Hampton, to be exact, you can rent out Laurel Island, which is a 5 acre island on a lake. The private island has 5 cottages as well as a large main lodge for gathering, and the island can accommodate up to 39 people. Here are some thing the island has to offer:
