Damn Wolcott, at the end of January, there's going to be one less cool place to hang out and enjoy a fresh beer straight from the maker's tap in town. Don't worry, you'll still be able to find your Salted Caramel Cannoli, The Real O.G, and Great White beers, but you may have to go somewhere other than Rt. 69 in Wolcott to get it.

A great local brewery, Shebeen Brewing Company in Wolcott, has announced that after 9 years of serving up fresh cold ones, they are closing their taproom, located at 1 Wolcott Road (Rt. 69), for good at the end of January 2022.

In the announcement, which was posted Monday afternoon, Shebeen thanks all of their loyal customers for their patronage over the last 9 years, and tells us that they will be permanently closing their taproom as of January 31, 2022. Shebeen beer will still be manufactured and distributed, but there will no longer be a taproom to enjoy it in.

But there's still 3 weekends left in January 2022 to get over there and enjoy your favorites fresh from the tap. Shebeen has also announced that as a token of their appreciation for all of the local love, they will be offering their cans-to-go for only $1 a can.

You can pick up Shebeen 4 packs at their sister brewery - Foolproof Brewing Company in Pawtucket, RI, and there is also going to be a brand new Brewery Collective location here in Connecticut sometime in 2022. Keep your eyes open for the Bridgeport Brewery Collective Taproom, featuring Black Horse Garage Brewing to open up sometime this year.
