Will You Be Celebrating ‘Festivus’ Today?

I know Christmas is just a few days away, but let’s not forget to take some time to celebrate “Festivus for the Rest of Us.”

“Happy Festivus” is the traditional greeting of Festivus, a hilarious holiday featured in “The Strike” episode of Seinfeld. The episode first aired on December 18, 1997. Since then, many people have been inspired by this zany, offbeat Seinfeld holiday and they now celebrate Festivus as any other holiday.

According to the Seinfeld model, Festivus is celebrated each year on this day, December 23.

Now if you really want to grab the "bull by the horns," so to speak, here's all you need to do to celebrate Festivus:

The first thing you'll need is an aluminum pole (no tinsel, it's too distracting), then, after that, gather 'round the table for the "airing of grievances." Finally, pick the person you want to go head-to-head with during the "feats of strength". After that, the celebration is done -- see how easy it is? So if you follow those simple steps, then you can celebrate too, and have the best Festivus ever.
