Which is the Best Beach in CT? Here’s a Clue: It’s Not Silver Sands
I have this thing about Connecticut beaches.
There are so few good ones that it becomes that much more important when you say one is the best, or one of the best. Each year, a dozen media outlets throughout the state will rank the best beaches and we always seem to get the same answer. Everyone crowns Silver Sands Beach in Milford as their top beach.
I like Silver Sands but I don't think it's the best. Whenever someone asks me this question I tell them the best beach is in New London. Finally, I'm not the only one with this opinion. On Monday (6/19/23) A-Z Animals put out their list of CT's Top Beaches and Ocean Beach Park in New London was #1. A-Z had this to say:
"Ocean Beach Park is one of New England’s best beaches. It is more than just a beach, it is an all-inclusive vacation destination featuring an Olympic-size pool, playgrounds, a restaurant, rides, an arcade, water slides, and a golf course. Plus, the sand is sparkling white, and the ocean is clear blue. Ocean Beach is in New London and is perfect for the whole family. While the park can get pretty busy during the summer, everyone has enough room to spread out."

2. Hannonasset Beach State Park - Madison
3. Jennings Beach - Fairfield
My wife and I have taken two small vacations to New London and it was so worth it. The only reason I don't talk more about it is because I don't want to let the secret out. We talked about this on the I-95 Morning Show on Tuesday (6/20/23).

Seriously, lets not ruin a good thing. Can we please keep Ocean Beach Park clean and affordable, please!!!!!!
