What Do You Think is the Most Instagrammable Place in Connecticut?
Many places nowadays are trying to make it so that their specific establishment stands out. Restaurants have cute backdrops and decorations for you to post on social media, many stores do different things, it's all different now with the popularity of social media and people documenting their lives for the internet.
Sometimes, just the beauty of a place makes it a popular tourist spot for people to post pictures of. I love going to National Parks and that's something I instantly thought of when I came upon this topic of conversation. It had me thinking, what's the most "instagrammable" place in Connecticut?

The website Florida Panhandle spoke about the most instagrammable places around the U.S. They tried to link to attractions rather than cities themselves and they looked through social media to see which places had the most photos under specific hashtags. First, they compiled a list of the top 10 most instagrammable places in the U.S. Here's what they found:
- Walt Disney World, FL
- Central Park, NY
- Venice Beach, CA
- Las Vegas Strip, NV
- Myrtle Beach, SC
- Red Rocks Amphitheater, CO
- Zion National Park, UT
- French Quarter, LA
- Space Needle, WA
- Waikiki Beach, HI
Some of those locations on there come as absolute no surprise to me. Walt Disney World being number 1? I could've guessed that. Central Park being at number 2 comes at no surprise either. Some of them I wouldn't expect more than others, but overall this list makes sense. I'll just put my own two sense in and say that Zion National Park is meant to be on this list and looks like a backdrop of its own just from the beauty of it.
The website then when it to break down each state and what the most instagrammable locations are within them. Do you have any guess at what Connecticut's can be? When I was thinking about it, I thought maybe Mystic? There aren't a lot of places around here that really stick out to me.
Well, I was wrong. The correct answer is Yale University. That's a smart one and one that I wouldn't have thought of. We're used to seeing the buildings but everyone else around the globe is not. Yale is unique in its own way and understandably gets the attention it deserves. I see why that was our location.
If you had to pick somewhere, where would you choose? I'm curious to see the different responses.
