The stuff that happens in my hometown of Waterbury continues to amaze me.

According to Trooper Grant of the CT State Police, a Waterbury woman was arrested after an investigation by the CT State Police Western District Major Crimes Detectives, which determined that the unidentified victim was being extorted by a resident of the Brass City.

Detectives identified the suspect as 35-year-old Fatin Ward/Fatin Ahmad of E. Main St.

Ward/Ahmad had posted several ads on Backpage.com, which resulted in the victim contacting Ward/Ahmad for dominatrix services. The victim said that Ward/Ahmad videotaped these sessions, full of compromising positions, and threatened to release said videos if the victim did not pay her a certain amount of money.

The Detectives applied for an arrest warrant, and Ward/Ahmad turned herself in last Monday April 10 at the State Police Troop A Barracks in Southbury.

Ward/Ahmad has been charged with 2nd Degree Larceny, Voyeurism With Malice, and Disseminating Voyeuristic Material. She was being held on a $100,000 surety bond, and was transported back to Waterbury for arraignment.

This is one court case that I would be happy to serve jury duty for. Call me, I'm available.
