Waterbury Police Search for Missing Girl + Mom After Father Gains Sole Custody
Local police are searching for a mother and daughter who they say have been missing since last month.
According to the Waterbury Police Department, the father of 3-year-old Dahliah Warren was awarded sole custody of the child on Friday, December 20, 2019 during a family court appearance.
Later that day, however, when Dahliah's mother, 37-year-old Jennifer Warren of Naugatuck, was supposed to meet up with the father to turn their daughter over to his custody, she reportedly never showed.
By the time 5:00 PM rolled around on December 20, Dahliah's father filed a missing persons report with the WPD, but even as of this writing, police still do not know the whereabouts of either the mother or her daughter.
Police say detectives have checked known addresses for the missing individuals and will continue to investigate all leads. A silver alert has been issued and remains active.
Anyone with any information as to the location of Dahliah or Jennifer Warren is urged to call Waterbury Police Detective Scanlon at 203-574-6911 or the Crimestoppers tip line at 203-755-1234, where all calls will remain confidential.
