Two Quirky Restaurants That Could Thrive in the Greater Danbury Area
Two words: "cereal" and "balls."
While taking some time off during Christmas and New Year, Mindy and I traveled to the Rochester, NY area for our highly anticipated trip to hang out with my brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Laura.
During our four-day stay, Steve treated us to a couple of out-of-the-ordinary restaurants that I feel just might fly in the greater Danbury area. The first one was called Pop Roc Cereal Bar and Comics located on 337 East Ave.
I was like a little kid on Christmas morning as I walked in, where I was immediately surrounded by all of the breakfast cereals from my childhood like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, and Count Chocula. It was tough to make a decision, but I finally decided to go with a combo bowl of Captain Crunch and Cocoa Pebbles.
Honestly, we found the second eatery, the Skylark Lounge, a bit tacky. But let me tell you, they cooked up some of the most succulent balls I've ever eaten. From ground beef to their Asian pork to their Spicy Chicken, these balls melted in your mouth. Do you have a favorite flavored ball? I say let's bring both of these tacky and tantalizing restaurants to the Danbury area!
