Thursday evening, April 11, a small airplane suddenly crash-landed between two Connecticut high schools.

According to myrecordjournal.com., the small aircraft came down in the ball field on Thursday between Wilcox Technical and Platt high schools just around 7 pm. The good news is that the two passengers survived the crash and the bad news is that it knocked out power to about 13,000 Eversource customers when the plane clipped high tension wires.

Thankfully no one was on the ball field when the aircraft crashed. The two injured passengers told medical personnel they were practicing "touch-and-go" maneuvers when the plane simply lost power. First responders did have to steer people away from the crash site for their own safety. The FAA will be investigating the plane crash to find out exactly what happened.
