Two Greater Danbury Fire Companies Fight Wild Car Fire, Thankfully No Injuries
It's amazing there were no injuries in this nasty car fire.
Danbury's Engine 25 came upon a fully involved car fire in front of Taormina Restaurant on Ball Pond Road (Route 39) in New Fairfield. New Fairfield's Ball Pond Fire Dept. also assisted in dousing out the fire.
The Danbury Fire Dept. reported that the driver of the car escaped without any injuries but the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) had to be called to the scene because of the fluids expelled by the vehicle and the runoff from extinguishing the fire. Danbury's Fire Marshall is currently investigating the cause of the blaze.
