This is How Terribly Long You’ll Wait at a Connecticut Emergency Room

Don't drop a weight on your big toe, don't burn yourself in the kitchen and whatever you do, don't flip your dirt bike because you will sit and wait in agony according to a new study.

The research was conducted by a personal injury law firm in Florida, The Schiller Kessler Group who analyzed hospital data all across the counrty to find average wait times in each state and the Nutmeg State's data was scary.

According to the report, Connecticut has the 8th longest wait time in America with an average of 3 hours and 2 minutes. Here is the Top 10:

1 - Maryland - 4 hours, 2 minutes

2 - Rhode Island - 3 hours, 34 minutes

3 - Massachusettes - 3 hours, 33 minutes

4 - Delaware - 3 hours, 30 minutes

5 - New York - 3 hours, 21 minutes

6 - Arizona - 3 hours, 13 minutes

7 - New Jersey - 3 hours, 11 minutes

8 - Connecticut - 3 hours, 2 minutes

9 - Pennsylvania & California (tie) - 3 hours

10 - Vermont - 2 hours, 58 minutes

Basically, getting hurt in the Northeast is a bad idea and you should not do it.

I remember being so frustrated and scared the last time I was in an emergency room. I wasn't there for me, I was taking my wife Erica. She was pregnant at the time, in agony, shaking violently and the wait was so unbelievably long. In the end she was OK, she was dehydrated and the hospital staff did a great job treating her but not before we waited helplessly in the lobby for hours.

In the moment, all you care about is getting your loved one in a room with a Doctor and everything moves so slow. I was ready to go to jail to get her seen by a doctor, I was going to become seriously irrational to make that happen. I was about to go full Denzel Washington in John Q.

Thankfully it did not come to that.
