Ice Cream! I would eat it every single day until the day I die if it was as healthy as kale.

Ice Cream is right up there on my list of favorite foods with beef tenderloin, scallops, lobster, fish fries, french fries, split pea soup, along with so many more. So I like to eat, don't judge me!

I've enjoyed many an ice cream cone in my 38 years in the greater Danbury area, so with the help of Yelp.com and my passion for the almighty ice cream cone, the following are, The Top 7 Best Places in the Greater Danbury Area to Enjoy Ice Cream:

    FERRIS ACRES CREAMERY

Where do I start? Ferris Acres is the Holy Grail of ice cream. With so many flavors and combinations, it's tough to choose. I almost feel guilty just ordering a chocolate cone. Indulge your ice cream fantasies and make the move and order the Cowabunga Crunch, chocolate ice cream with caramel swirls and walnuts. For the full menu of ice cream flavors, click this link. Ferris Acres Creamery can be found at 144 Sugar St. in Newtown directly off Route 302.

    IL BACIO ICE CREAM

Honestly, I have never had the opportunity to sample IL Bacio Ice Cream, which obviously makes me a loser. The ice cream is all homemade, and according to Yelp reviewers, it is absolutely the best ice cream around. Many reviewers rave about their Cookie Monster flavor. IL Bacio is located at 30 Germantown Road in Danbury

    THE SWEET SPOT

The Sweet Spot is a full service sugar heaven and features not only ice cream but cupcakes, cookies, soups, and sandwiches. They also won Best Ice Cream Shop in the 2015 I-95 Moosie Awards. I am embarrassed to say I have not made a visit to this much talked about dessert haven. Many go for the ice cream, but their cupcakes and special order cakes are raved about on Yelp.com. You'll find The Sweet Spot at 60 Railroad St. in New Milford right across from the tracks.

    CREAM AND SUGAR CAFE

This is where I go when I'm in the mood for a real milkshake! Even I couldn't finish a regular size shake. You have to order up a Brownie Freak Shake. It's insane. Make sure to share this bad boy with a friend because you'll never finish it yourself. It's made with vanilla ice cream blended with brownies and caramel, topped with cookies, brownies, whipped cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce. This milkshake is worthy of my bucket list category, "Things I Must Eat Before I Die", the Cream & Sugar Cafe is at 7 PT Barnum Square in Bethel. Oh yeah, bring along a bib!
