Have you tried the Durante's Pasta products in your local grocer's frozen section? I urge you to give them a shot, once again one of their products is one of the best I've had in a very long time.

How many times have you been disappointed by the frozen pasta that you buy from a grocery store? I've thrown away broken ravioli, rock hard cavatelli, freezer-burned lasagna, so many disappointments over the years. Yet again, I have to vouch for Durante's Pasta out of West Haven, Connecticut, in my opinion they are the reigning champion of locally-made frozen pasta.

I've been hooked on Durante's Ravioli for the past few years, I first bought them at the LaBonne's Market in Watertown, and since then most other local-CT-New England product-focused grocery stores like Big Y, Caraluzzi's, and Bantam and Northville Markets carry their pasta now too. I don't know how they do it, but Durante's has captured the authentic 'Tastes like Grandma's' flavor of our childhood. The ricotta that they use in their Ravioli is perfect, and the pasta cooks up perfectly every damn time.

The latest product that we tried over the weekend was a box of Durante's Cheese Manicotti. We almost went with the stuffed shells, but Manicotti is a bit more reasonable for our Ozempic-shrunk stomachs. A box of 5 Manicotti cost $10 at Big Y, and it's well worth $2 a tube. We covered them in Carbone Marinara Delicato gravy, and it was bliss.

Does the combination of pepperoncini, cheese, and mortadella make you quiver? Do you enjoy cauliflower soaked in olive oil? Me too, I love Antipasto, and I've tried it from dozens of delis over the past year. Here are my favorite servings of Antipasto over the past year in Western Connecticut
