Were the Juggalos Justified in Their March on Washington?
Juggalos are fanatics and followers of the Insane Clown Posse and their associated acts. The NY Post reports that in 2011, the FBI classified Juggalos as a gang.
On Saturday, thousands of said Juggalos marched on the Mall in Washington D.C. to protest the gang classification and I can only imagine it was a meeting of some of the best and brightest in America.
Am I being judgmental and small? Yes, yes I am. The facts are, though, that these people are supporters of the worst thing to be considered "art" that we have maybe ever seen in this country, and we have been exposed to a lot of garbage.
Another important thing to remember is that, as a group, they do not have a unified message. The only real thing they have in common is being proud of being "less than." I can only imagine that their march on Washington was a lot like "Occupy Wall Street" with a side of methamphetamine.
If you think I am being too harsh, maybe you should watch the video below. Here are some clips from their festival, called "The Gathering of the Juggalos." THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR CONSUMPTION BY CHILDREN -- There is swearing and stuff.
In fairness, the Government overstepped here. This has nothing to do with them, they should not have classified Juggalos as a gang. This is the U.S. Government doing U.S. Government things that people hate. People in America should be able to gather to celebrate whatever crap music they want.
