You ever dance with the devil in the pale moon light? Me either, but I saw the Joker on a bright red jet ski on the East River on Sunday (7/26/20). According to the NY Post, a Twitter user named Krissy posted the two videos below adding, “New York is a strange place man. I think I saw The Joker on water today.”

Sunday's stunt is apparently not the first sighting of the Joker on NYC waterways. Last August, actress Olivia Wilde shared a similar video with #whatisnewyork.

If this were still last August, we all have a laugh, if this were posted in 2017 another chuckle-fest but to see this, to see this now is terrifying. We just need to mind the words of Alfred to know what this is all about:

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

What better time to have a victory lap around the city and watch the hideous, raging inferno than 2020? Sure, it's probably some regular ass dude named Glenn with an overactive imagination, but the optics are pretty scary. This is a visual I could have done without, especially because it's highly unlikely that a reclusive billionaire with martial arts training is going to fly into the night and save Gotham.

Their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sight of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be.

That's what The Joker (Heath Ledger) said in a movie about a fictional universe that also seems to be coming to life all around us. Glenn from Brooklyn is not the only one with an overactive imagination.
