I'm in for a heat wave, no complaints, how about you?

We all know it was a long, cold and fairly snowy Winter. And while Connecticut was under some pretty severe drought conditions for the past two years, the very wet Spring has eradicated that.

Just this week, the U.S. Drought Monitor removed the last remaining section of Connecticut that still had abnormally dry conditions.

Rainfall in the Northeast eliminated the lingering abnormally dry areas in eastern Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Precipitation deficits have improved and the U.S. Department of Agriculture rated soil moisture at adequate or better for crop development

Now that Mother Earth in our area has had her thirst quenched, it's time to sweat your you-know-what off. I say BRING IT ON!

Connecticut is in for a heat wave. According to the forecast on ctweather.com, temperatures will start out in the low 80's on Saturday, move to the upper 80's and into the 90's into early next week.

Realistically, we all know that the weather is going to do what it's going to do. You know the concept, it's a force of nature, and we just have to make the best of it. But if you're like me, my whole attitude changes with sunshine and warmth. This wet and cold Spring has really gotten to me. So if Mother Nature decided to give us nothing but sunny days and warm temps for the next five months, I'd be ecstatic.
