I kid around, because I absolutely love New Milford, but there really was a goat and a bearded guy.

Last Wednesday was the second annual New Milford Day at the Connecticut State Capitol with the purpose of showcasing the businesses, nonprofit organizations, and the community leaders' work and how valuable they are to the state.

New Milford's special day was hosted by state Rep. Billy Moe Buckbee (bearded guy) and friend of the Ethan and Lou Show. Also on board for the day was state Rep. William Smith and state Senator, Craig Miner, along with New Milford Mayor, Pete Bass.

New Milford Day revolved around New Milford resident, Roger Sherman who was a member of the House of Representatives from 1789 until 1791 and then served as a Connecticut State Senator from 1791 to 1793. He helped write the Declaration of Independence and was the only Connecticut resident to sign that historical document.

Congratulations New Milford, but I'm still searching for a reason why the baby goats factored into New Milford Day, although I will admit they are pretty damn cute! Maybe this short video will give us the answer.
