Spaghetti Donuts Are the Latest Food Craze in the City
I have to tell you I make an awesome spaghetti pie. But I never thought about turning spaghetti into donuts. Damn, I missed my chance at possible food legend.
This girl love to cook. No fooling, it's a passion of mine. And one of my "go to" recipes is for Spaghetti Pie. The pasta forms the crust for this delicious treat.
Now a place called Pop Pasta is serving up what could become a hot new trend. At the very least it's pretty unique. From the website, poppasta.com, the donut combines the popular spaghetti pie dish with the donut. Yup, the dish I make, and then cut into "pie slices" they form it into a donut instead. Brilliant I say!
Pop Pasta is selling the donuts at the weekly Smorgasburg food festival in Brooklyn. Smorgasburg Williamsburg happens Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. in the East River State Park, 90 Kent Avenue, Brooklyn New York.
Can you say road trip.To Brooklyn that is, not to my house!
Speaking of brilliant ideas, who could forget this:
Maybe Stew's could get on the pasta donut craze.
