Shrimp Bandit Strikes Connecticut Stop & Shop, Police Say
There's a shrimp robber on the loose in Hamden.
It was 10 p.m. on a Monday evening when a short, bearded white male walked into the Hamden Stop & Shop on Dixwell Ave. and headed for the frozen shrimp.
According to wfsb.com, the man grabbed five packages of frozen shrimp and headed on out the door. It has yet to be determined if he grabbed a jar or two of cocktail sauce for dipping on his way out.
According to police, the white man was on the short side with a beard and was last seen traveling eastbound on Skiff Street in a silver Dodge Caravan. He might have had five packages that looked something like this under his arm.
If anybody knows anything about this stolen shrimp caper, please call the Hamden Police and ask for Officer Daryl Cargill at 203-230-4030.
