Reports of Trash and Human Waste Close Candlewood Lakes’ Blueberry Island
Two of Candlewood Lake's favorite party spots, Blueberry Island and Little Blueberry Island, are not far off the shoreline of the lake's peaceful Hollywile Community in New Fairfield.
The official announcement was handed down by the Connecticut State Police - New Fairfield Resident Trooper's Office on September 2 that read:
Blueberry Island in New Fairfield (Candlewood Lake) is CLOSED indefinitely due to unsanitary conditions.
