Police have identified the man whose body was found near an exit ramp in Danbury.

According to the Connecticut State Police by way of NBC Connecticut, an unnamed worker discovered the body of 63-year-old Herbert Ruehle of Carmel, NY just after 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 2.

In the initial report from the News Times, Ruehle's body is believed to have been discovered in the grassy area off of the exit 4 ramps, where Interstate 84 meets Lake Avenue., within very short proximity to the area's prominent restaurants, retail stores and more. The investigation took place right along the side of the ramps and lasted most of the day.

While members of the Danbury Police Department assisted with the investigation, the case has been handed over to the Connecticut State Police due to the fact that I-84 is a state highway.

Investigators note that at this time, there is no evidence of foul play. This is a developing story and we'll be sure to keep you updated as more information rolls in.
