REMEMBER: Apollo 11, Where Were You?
Today is the 50th anniversary of the Saturn V rocket launch. The Rocket carried Apollo 11 into space, inside was Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. The Rocket lifted off at 9:32 am on July 16, 1969. Over the next week, plus the world would be glued to their television sets.
On July 20th, 1969 The Eagle Lunar Module landed on the surface of the moon and on July 21st, 1969 Neil Armstrong took man's first steps on the surface of the moon. Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins landed safely, back at home, on Earth on July 24th, 1969 just south of Honolulu.
If you were alive and old enough to remember it, you know where you were, who you were with and how you felt. Unless you are my morning show partner, Ethan Carey. This dude can't tell you Word one about where he was, what he was doing or who he was with. I don't get it, can't get it, will never fully understand this man. I think that is part of the fun, everyday is a new and exciting one.
If you can gather your memories of the Apollo 11 mission we would love to hear them.
